TwoTrees 3D Printer Sapphire Plus V1.1 CoreXY issues

Update 11-December-2023. Read the Disclaimer.
On this page I have collected my experience with the TwoTrees Sapphire Plus V1.1 3D printer. Bought in juli 2021 for 420 Euro. I found them now on the internet for 370 Euro. This printer has the Mks Robin nano V1.2 board with 5 TMC2225 drivers and has a dual Z-axis each with motor but coupled via a belt.
This page is not about how to assemble the Sapphire Plus. "Aurora Tech" and "Just Vlad" already have done that perfectly on Youtube. This page is about the problems I had and how I solved them.
The Sapphire Plus is not a 3D printer kit that requires a "one" hour of assembly and then prints perfectly ("out-of-the-box"). If you want that then better buy a Creality. Assuming you don't make any mistakes and this is not your first 3D printer an 4-8 hour build is do-able but don't be suprised if it takes up to 60 hours with all kinds of suprices. Just read this page. Careful and accurate assembly of each step is necessary. Then finally do some testing using the printer's menu (moving, homing, heating) to check that everything works.

Dm Profile Builder 2 Plugin For Sketchup Jun 2026

Say goodbye to manual Follow Me struggles. With PB2, you can: Save your own custom profile libraries 📚

Creates custom 2D shapes (profiles) and extrudes them along paths or faces.

: Use standard SketchUp tools (like the Line or Circle tool) to draw a 2D face or polyline. Define the Profile : Select the face or polyline. DM Profile Builder 2 Plugin for Sketchup

Let’s break down the specific mechanics of the plugin.

DM Profile Builder 2 Plugin for SketchUp: A Complete Guide to Parametric Modeling Say goodbye to manual Follow Me struggles

The Profile Browser

While Profile Builder 2 creates the 3D model, its real value for contractors and estimators is the underlying data. The plugin includes a Quantifier tool that generates instant reports. It calculates the , Surface Area , Volume , Weight , and even Cost of the generated profiles based on assigned materials and layers. This output can be exported directly to an Excel file for client quoting or procurement, bridging the gap between 3D modeling and real-world construction logistics. Define the Profile : Select the face or polyline

Interior designers and architects use the plugin to quickly run baseboards, crown moldings, wainscoting, and chair rails around complex room layouts. If a molding style changes, it can be swapped globally with a single click. Fencing and Railings

When extruding profiles along tight radii or complex spiral stairs, temporarily lower the segment count of your arcs. High polygon counts can slow down viewport performance. Profile Builder 2 processes paths efficiently, but keeping your underlying curves optimized ensures real-time editing remains responsive. Reusing Materials

Combines multiple profiles and components into smart, path-based objects like railings, fences, and walls. For instance, a single assembly can include a wall's masonry, insulation, and concrete footer. Quantifier:

The is a fundamental tool for anyone looking to increase their efficiency. By bringing parametric functionality to SketchUp, it transforms the software from a simple modeling tool into a powerful BIM-like application. If you work with complex, repetitive geometry, this plugin is essential.
