In a moment of classic Stern production, they brought in a produce scale (the kind used for deli meat). Howard demanded to know exactly how much each breast weighed. After some hesitation, Marilyn agreed. The results: approximately 22 pounds of silicone and tissue on the left, 21 on the right.

Mariann Tepedino, better known as "Mariann from Brooklyn," has been a fixture of the show for over . While not a "Marilyn" by name, she is the most recognizable female personality with a similar sounding name who has a significant presence on the show.

Alternatively, the show's history is filled with iconic "Marilyns" and related superfans: Marilyn Manson

The segment is a masterclass in:

If you are looking to research other classic music interviews or want to look into specific eras of the show, let me know if you would like me to compile a list of or summarize Howard Stern's evolution into a serious long-form interviewer. Share public link

Fan reviews from archives generally describe her as "sweet" and "very natural" despite the "outrageous" nature of the segment.

Stern has always had a fascination with extremes. The show isn't just about pretty faces; it's about the human condition at its weirdest. Marilyn represented the point where body modification meets physical limitation. The audience wasn't laughing at her in a cruel way (though Artie was close). They were laughing at the sheer absurdity of a human being choosing to live life with two basketballs under their chin.

Like many guests of the time, Marilyn was subjected to the typical Stern "interrogation," with Howard, Robin Quivers, and the late-era "Wack Pack" members offering commentary.

The Howard Stern Show, known for its edgy humor and no-holds-barred interviews, seems like a fitting platform for someone like Marilyn Manson. The show has hosted a wide range of guests, from celebrities to musicians and comedians, often delving into unfiltered conversations.

: Howard once noted that she did not look like he expected, appearing as a "normal person" despite her manic energy on the phone. Recent fan commentary has noted that she has updated her look over the years.

A massive part of the entertainment value came from the studio staff’s live reactions. Fred Norris would fire off perfectly timed sound effects, while the rest of the crew would banter about the absurdity or spectacle of the situation.

Once inside, the guest faced a barrage of fast-paced, highly candid questions from Howard, who acted as a surrogate for the curious listener. Questions ranged from the logistics of daily life to career aspirations and personal relationships.

Marilyn Manson is known for his bold fashion choices, which often include makeup, elaborate costumes, and androgynous styles. If the appearance you're thinking of features Manson in a "super busty" look, it might involve a costume or outfit designed to challenge traditional gender norms or push boundaries.

I think that Burma may hold the distinction of “most massive overhaul in driving infrastructure” thanks, some surmise, to some astrologic advice (move to the right) given to the dictator in control in 1970. I’m sure it was not nearly as orderly as Sweden – there are still public buses imported from Japan that dump passengers out into the drive lanes.

Used Japanese cars built to drive on the Left side of the road, are shipped to Bolivia where they go through the steering-wheel switch to hide among the cars built for Right hand-side driving.

These cars have the nickname “chutos” which means “cheap” or “of bad quality”. They’re popular mainly for their price point vs. a new car and are often used as Taxis. You may recognize a “chuto” next time you take a taxi in La Paz and sit next to the driver, where you may find a rare panel without a glove comparment… now THAT’S a chuto “chuto” ;-)

Did the switch take place at 4:30 in the morning? Really? The picture from Kungsgatan lets me think that must have been in the afternoon.

Many of the assertions in this piece seem to likely to be from single sources and at best only part of the picture. Sweden’s car manufacturers made cars to be driven on the right, while the country drove on the left. Really? In the UK Volvos and Saabs – Swedish makes – have been very common for a very long time, well before 1967. Is it not possible that they were made both right and left hand drive? Like, well, just about every car model mass produced in Europe and Japan, ever. Sweden changed because of all the car accidents Swedish drivers had when driving overseas. Really? So there’s a terrible accident rate amongst Brits driving in Europe and amongst lorries driven by Europeans in the UK? Really? Have you ever driven a car on the “wrong” side of the road? (Actually gave you ever been outside of the USA might be a better question). It really ain’t that hard. Hmmm. Dubious and a bit weak.
